The most creative ideas that will definitely not leave young women of fashion unnoticed at the holiday.
"Herringbone" from a braid without weaving
What do you need
- Comb;
- invisible elastic bands;
- crab hairpin;
- invisible hairpins or hairpins with colored pom-poms (you can simply glue the pom-poms to the hairpins with a glue gun);
- invisible or hairpin with a star (if there is no ready-made one, the decorative figurine is also easy to attach).
How to do your hair
Tie the top of your hair into a ponytail.
Take the strand from the bottom of the ponytail and wrap the elastic around it. Fix at the bottom with an invisible elastic band and hide it under the curls.
For convenience, fold the tail up and secure for a while with a crab so that it does not get in the way. Gather your loose hair in a low ponytail.
Release the first tail and divide it across into two parts. Divide the top in half, and lift the bottom up between them. Secure with a hair clip.
Connect the two halves of the split tail with an elastic band. Release the top ponytail.
Divide it in half, lift the lower tail up again and fix it. Release the top tail. Pull out two strands of the other ponytail slightly to the sides.
Repeat until the braid reaches the low ponytail. Pull each new row of strands more to the sides to form a herringbone shape. Connect the shape with a low ponytail.
Add a couple more rubber bands at the bottom at a small distance from each other. Insert invisible pins or hairpins with pompoms in different places.
Insert the invisibility or hairpin with a star on top.
"Herringbone" of four braids
What do you need
- Comb;
- invisible elastic bands;
- hairpins-crabs - optional;
- invisible hairpins or hairpins with colored pom-poms (you can simply glue the pom-poms to the hairpins with a glue gun);
- invisibility or hairpin with a star (if there is no ready-made one, the decorative figurine is also easy to attach).
How to do your hair
Pull the top of your hair into a ponytail. Divide the bottom in half and fix at the bottom for a while with elastic bands or hairpins.
Divide the top ponytail in half. Divide the right half into two parts again. Fix the left of these two so that it does not interfere.
Braid from the second pigtail to the lower ponytail and secure. From the right side, pull the strands so that this side of the braid is at an angle.
Braid from an adjacent section of your hair. Pull the strands out to the sides evenly so that the braid is voluminous. Fix.
Fold the braids up for a while so that they do not get in the way. Loosen the lower right section of your hair and connect it with an elastic band with both braids.
In the same way, braid two braids on the left side of the head and connect them to the remaining lower tail. Do not forget to pull the strands. You should have the shape of a Christmas tree. If there is a large distance between the middle pigtails, pull the strands out harder.
Decorate the herringbone with invisible pins or hairpins with pompoms and a star.
"Candy cane" from a braid
What do you need
- Comb;
- hairpins-crabs;
- invisible elastic bands;
- Red ribbon;
- white tape;
- a large needle with a thick eye.
How to do your hair
Separate part of the hair on the left with a straight part and secure for a while with a hair clip so that it does not get in the way. Take a small strand in the middle, twist it and also fix it at the bottom. Around this strand there should be a rounded parting - the bend of the future "candy cane".
Part the front of your hair so that the next parting is roughly parallel to the previous one. Pick up the lower part of the hair with a barrette. Take a small strand from above next to the rounded parting. Divide it into three parts and start braiding the spikelet, gradually weaving in the rest of the loose hair and rounding it.
When the parting ends, continue to weave your regular braid. Tie it with an elastic band.
Draw two ribbons through the needle. While holding the tip of the ribbons, thread the needle under the beginning of the spikelet.
Pull out the ends of the tape and tie with a strong knot. Thread the long end of the ribbons through the needle again.
Stretch under the following strands. Do not over tighten.
Continue wrapping the ribbons around the spikelet. Arrange them so that white alternates with red.
When the spike ends, insert the needle and ribbon into the hair on the back of the braid.
Remove all hairpins. Take some hair from the sides and connect it with an elastic band with a braid.
Trim your hair and cut off the excess ends of the ribbons. For reliability, they can be pre-tied with a knot.
"Herringbone" from braids and ribbons
What do you need
- Comb;
- invisible elastic bands;
- green ribbon;
- hairpin or hairpin with a star;
- hairpins with flowers or other decorations.
How to do your hair
Ponytail the top of your hair. Divide the rest of the strands in half and make two low ponytails.
Divide the upper tail into two equal parts. Braid from one pigtail to the lower ponytail and connect it with it.
Make a pigtail from the second half of the tail and connect it with the other lower tail.
Insert the tape into one top inner strand of the braid first. Then pass another braid through the adjacent strand. The woven part should be above the braids, as it were. Flatten the tape so the ends are the same.
Cross the ends of the tape on top. Insert one of them from the outside to the inside into the next strand of the braid. Repeat on the other side. Cross the ends of the tape again.
Continue to weave the ribbon into the braids until the beginning of the tails. Tie the ends of the tape in the middle.
Insert the star and decorations into the tree.
Fishtail herringbone
What do you need
- Comb;
- crab hairpin;
- regular elastic band;
- invisible elastic bands;
- hairpins or hairpins with New Year's decorations (you can simply glue them with a glue gun).
How to do your hair
Part the top of your hair and pin it up with a crab for a while. Gather the rest of the strands into a low ponytail using a regular elastic.
Gather the top into a ponytail and secure with an invisible elastic band. Divide it in half.
Separate a thin strand from the front of the right side of your hair. Twist it over the same part of the hair and attach it to the left half of the ponytail from the inside.
In the same way, add a lock from the left half of the tail to the right. The video below shows this process in detail.
Repeat this a few more times.
Continue to weave the fishtail, pulling the strands out to the sides slightly along the way. The lower you go, the more you pull the strands. Thus, you form a herringbone out of the hair.
Continue braiding, leaving a small tail at the bottom. Secure with an elastic band. Pull the lower strands to the sides so that you get a "Christmas tree".
Unwind the bottom ponytail and add festive hairpins to your hair.
"Santa Claus's hat" from braids
What do you need
- Comb;
- invisible elastic bands;
- hairpins-crabs;
- 2 red ribbons;
- red cloth;
- scissors;
- cotton wool;
- invisible;
- glue gun.
How to do your hair
Pull the top of your hair into a ponytail. Divide the bottom in half and fix for a while with crabs. Tie the ribbons to the base of the tail so that the ends point in different directions.
Divide the tail in two. Divide the right one into three strands. Place the tape between the left and middle strands. On the middle, throw the right one, and on it - the tape. Bring the left strand under the central one. If you are at a loss, see the instructions below.
Continue braiding in the same way. Fix it with a crab.
Use an elastic to tie the braid to the bottom right section of your hair.
Braid the second braid in the same way and connect to the other part of the hair.
Cut a triangle out of red fabric and insert between the braids. If necessary, secure with invisible ones. Glue cotton wool to the other invisible ones and make the bottom of the "hat" and a pompom on top.
"Herringbone" from one braid
What do you need
- Comb;
- invisible elastic bands;
- hairpin or invisible with a star (you can glue the figure with a glue gun).
How to do your hair
Separate a small section of the hair on top and tie it into a ponytail.
Begin to weave a braid from this tail.
While holding the braid, pull some hair out of the lock slightly to the sides. Do so that there is space between the strands and the elongated curls.
Continue braiding while pulling your hair out. At the same time, a regular pigtail should remain noticeable, and not just become flat. The lower you go, the further you stretch your hair, forming a "Christmas tree".
Finish braiding and secure with an elastic band.
Stick a hairpin or invisibility with a star into the top of the "Christmas tree".
"Herringbone" of two braids
What do you need
- Comb;
- invisible elastic bands;
- colored tape;
- hairpins or invisible pom-poms or other decorations (you can glue them with a glue gun);
- hairpin, invisibility or hairpin with a star (it is also easy to attach);
- hair clip with a small bow.
How to do your hair
Separate a small section of the hair on top and make a ponytail out of it.
Tie a ribbon to the base of the ponytail and divide the hair into three equal sections.
Apply the left strand to the middle one. Place the tape between them. Bring the right strand under the middle one and pass over the ribbon. The video below has all the details.
Repeat these steps. The tape should always be in the middle of the braid.
Braid the entire braid this way. Secure with an elastic band, leaving a ponytail at the bottom.
Tilt the braid up for convenience. From loose hair, weave a spikelet in reverse. We have already discussed how to do this in a separate article. When all your hair is tied up, finish braiding.
Holding the spikelet, pull the strands out to the sides, giving the braid the shape of a Christmas tree. Secure with an elastic band.
Lower the top braid and connect it with an elastic band to the bottom.
Decorate your hair.
