How to do

Dilute tooth powder or paint with water to a thick sour cream consistency. Draw a line on the glass and let it dry for a few minutes, or look at the walls of the glass: wet paint is more transparent, and when it dries, it becomes denser and more opaque. If the result suits you, then get to work.

How to decorate windows for the New Year with stickers

With this technique, you can transfer any pattern to glass, not just snowflakes.

What do you need

• Stained glass paint, or fabric outline, or rubber glue;
• snowflake patterns (for example, or);
• wax paper for baking.

How to do

Print out snowflake patterns on a printer. Cover them with baking paper and secure them so that the image does not slide out. You can use a tablet screen instead of printouts.

Apply a thick layer of paint to the baking paper along the outline that shines through it. Let the paint dry, preferably overnight. Wet patterns will tear.

Slowly and carefully separate the snowflakes from the paper.

Glue them to the window. If they don't hold well enough, drip rubber glue or PVA onto them.

How to decorate windows for the New Year with a garland

What do you need

• Pompons;
• thick colored paper with glitters;
• thin cardboard;
• beads;
• cord or braid;
• LED garland;
• scissors;
• self-adhesive interior hooks or double-sided tape;
• tape measure or ruler;
• masking tape;
• glue.

How to do

Make pom poms yourself or take ready-made ones.

Cut out stars about 4 cm wide from colored paper.

Cut out stars about 6 cm wide from cardboard.

Wrap the string around the LED string.

Glue the hooks over the window and attach the cord with the bulbs to them.

Measure the lengths of the cord to the height of the window.

Spread them out on a horizontal surface and glue one end with masking tape.

Try on jewelry on the cord. Mark or remember the order of the elements and the distance between them.

Place the beads and pom-poms on the cord and secure them with glue.

Glue on the rest of the decor. Connect the stars in two, passing a cord between them. You can bend the halves of the stars a little to give them volume.

Tie the finished elements of the garland to the cord fixed to the window so that they hang down at regular intervals.

How to decorate windows with a New Year's composition

If you have a box for flowers under your window or on the balcony, you can also decorate it. Both live and artificial plants are suitable for this.

What do you need

• Flower box;
• two Christmas trees or thuja about 20 cm high;
• long thin hook (can be made from wire);
• floristic or ordinary wire;
• two coniferous branches half a box long;
• two wide ribbons or a ready-made bow;
• three Christmas balls.

How to do

Place Christmas trees or thuja along the edges of the box.

Insert the hook into the middle so that it holds tightly. The whole composition will be based on it.

Attach coniferous branches to the hook. One should be directed to the left, the other to the right.

Make a large bow out of the ribbons and tie it to the hook over the branches with floral wire. Even if you attach it not too neatly, it will not spoil the look of the composition, because it will merge with the greenery. If there is no special wire, take a regular one, just try to mask between the branches.

On top of the bow, attach Christmas balls tied into a bunch to the hook. Balls of different sizes will look stylish in the same colors as the ribbons.
