Google now has personal search

The new filter shows search results for your Google Photos, Gmail, and other Google apps.

How it works: If you are looking for clothes and you have pictures of bows in Google Photos, search will give you these pictures as well. Personal materials will appear at the very beginning of the issue, above the general ones. By clicking on View all Google Photos results, you can view all the photos that you have on this topic.

What does a personal search result look like?

The same goes for mail: up to ten emails containing the search term will appear in the card at the top of the results. One click is enough to open the full text of the message and go to Gmail.

But personal search doesn't always work. When requested with this filter, Google often gives an error. If you are sure that in your personal materials there is definitely something for such a key, make sure that all words are spelled without errors, or try entering other key phrases.

To use the new function, in your browser, under the search bar, look for the "More" tab and click "Personal Search" in it. A tab with this name will appear along with news, pictures and videos.

Anything Google finds in your personal content will only be visible to you. This information will not be made publicly available.

The new filter can be used in desktop and mobile browsers, but it will not appear in the Google Android app. There has long been a tab "In applications" designed to search for content on the device.
