Streaming services are convenient, but they cost money and can be frustrating if you don't have access to the songs of your favorite artists. The eMusic project is trying to solve these problems. It allows you to copy music from any source to the cloud and listen to it on your computer or mobile devices for free.
You can also store your music library on ordinary cloud drives, from where it can be easily copied to any of the connected devices.
But it is much more convenient when the cloud service acts as a player and allows you to listen to music even without having to download it to your device. These include services like Boom (VKontakte, Odnoklassniki), Yandex. Music and iTunes Match. You can load your music library into them and listen to it on any computers, tablets and smartphones. But these features are only available as a paid subscription.
10tracks and Google Play Music work in a similar way, but for free, albeit with restrictions on the total volume or number of music files. EMusic, on the other hand, offers the same features for free without imposing such restrictions.
Storing and listening to music
The eMusic service exists as a website and applications for mobile platforms. For now, you can only add music to the cloud from a computer or Android device.
The files you copy to the eMusic servers will be organized by artist and album. They will become available for listening and downloading to local memory on any device connected to your account. But the system does not allow connecting more than five devices to the cloud for free.
View music recommendations
Among other things, eMusic displays music recommendations. Among them you will see novelties of different genres, trends and hits selected by editors. On the artist pages, you can view lists of similar artists.
Subscribing and buying songs
If you want to connect more than five devices to your eMusic account, you will have to subscribe (from $ 13 per month). The service offers several tariff plans. The higher the monthly payment, the greater the discounts on songs in the built-in store will be. But you can choose not to pay and only listen to the music you have downloaded.
If you are interested in cloud music storage, try eMusic. Perhaps you will find it more convenient than 10tracks and the more famous Google Play Music.
