Learn more about people who are interested in your content and track their reactions to posts.
You can observe the dynamics of views of publications and profile visits, track the growth of subscribers, as well as see their location and age. All this is right in the Instagram app.
To access statistics, you need to change the profile type from Normal to Professional. This is a quick and easy procedure, after which your account will receive several additional features.
If necessary, you can switch back to your regular profile at any time. Here's how to do it.
1. Open the menu and select "Settings" → "Account" → "Switch to professional account".
2. Select the type of account: "Author" or "Business". The author account is intended for bloggers, various experts and anyone who develops a personal brand on Instagram. And a business profile is best suited to companies.
Statistics can be viewed on both account types. In addition, each of them allows the owner to add their contact details to the profile and advertise the page inside Instagram.
3. Follow the prompts of the system to switch to the selected account type.
4. When done, open the menu and go to the "Statistics" section.
The statistics menu consists of three tabs that show data for the last seven days. "Content" allows you to filter the lists of stories and posts by the number of views, likes and other reactions. You can also view these metrics for each post.
On the Actions tab, you can monitor the number of visits to your profile, as well as the total number of views of stories and posts. "Audience" shows growth, gender, age, geography and other data.
It should be added that full statistics will not be available immediately. It can take up to seven days for the system to collect all the information it needs.
If you decide to return your regular profile, go to the menu and click "Settings" → "Account" → "Switch to personal account".
