The film directed by David Hamilton and screenwriter and actress Brynna Kelly (she played one of the main roles) was released back in 2018, but only got into Russian cinemas in August 2020. But even then, few people paid attention to him.

However, for all the intimacy and simplicity of presentation, the picture turned out to be very curious: at first it seems that the story will be devoted to the traditional time loop. But gradually it turns out that the plot is much more global and mystical.

Jude Law and Carrie Coon played excellently in the film of the not-too-famous director Sean Durkin. This drama is devoted to a topic that is relevant at all times - how excessive ambitions can lead to collapse.

Despite the fantastic plot, the film, in which the stars Jamie Dornan and Anthony Mackie played the main roles, looks more like a philosophical drama about how the past affects everyone. And it makes you wonder what everyone would do if they got the opportunity to fix something.

Sam wants to get a job at a funeral home. The girl meets the unsociable and grumpy owner of the company, whose name is Montgomery Dark. He tells the heroine the most terrible stories about different deceased.

The film is built in the format of a horror anthology: short stories are united only by a cross-cutting plot about Sam and Dark. Interestingly, with each story, the atmosphere of the picture becomes more and more gloomy. Starting with almost parodic plots, by the end, "Funeral Tales" turn into a real horror movie.

The dark thriller, combined with the atmosphere of the western, primarily rests on the performers of the main roles. The gorgeous Kevin Costner and Diane Lane play highly controversial characters who get involved in a dangerous game.

In 2018, director Anish Chaganti became famous for his screenlife thriller Search. His new work with Sarah Paulson in one of the main roles came out no less exciting. The plot raises important topics of overprotectiveness and toxic relationships with parents.

The starring role in a very positive film was played by the young star McKenna Grace. Viewers already know her from the third part of "The Curse of Annabelle" and many films where the actress played the childhood incarnations of the heroines ("Tonya against all", "Captain Marvel"). In Squad Zero, she again proves that she is not inferior in talent to her adult colleagues.
