Friends, I want to introduce you to one amazing person:)

Recently I was on vacation in Vietnam. And literally on the second day I heard a speech in Russian at breakfast. A very old grandmother was sitting at the next table and trying to explain to the waiter that she needed mild food. Granny was sitting with a woman younger than herself and I thought it was mom and daughter who flew in on vacation. Great! You rarely meet our old people on vacation, unfortunately …

I decided to come up to get to know each other and help translate into English so that they could cook non-spicy food for her. And you know what? It turned out to be not a family, but just people who met on vacation. BUT! Baba Lena (as she introduced herself to me) flew in alone !!!!!!! One!!!!! From Krasnoyarsk to Vietnam! At 89 years old !!!!!!

To say that I was amazed is to say nothing! Of course, we decided to get to know this amazing granny better:) Grandmother was born back in 1927. During the war she worked in the rear, in Orenburg, plowed fields for sowing on oxen, then sowed and harvested. She married a military man. Everything was fine at first. But then my husband began to drink. Beat her and her daughter. It was hard. Now grandma lives alone. She has a daughter and two grandchildren.

At the age of 83, Baba Lena decided to travel:) So she took it and decided! And since then he has been saving up his pension (she herself! Does not ask anyone) in order to leave once or twice a year. As far as I understand, no one is helping her. She said that every year she went to Karlovy Vary for three weeks to get medical treatment. There I once met a woman, she invited her to visit Germany. Do you think Baba Lena did not fly to her next year?:))) Of course, I flew, and from there they left for the Czech Republic together:)

My grandmother's health allows her to travel. He walks, of course, with a stick, but quite confidently! But the eyes, alas, fail strongly. One can hardly see at all, and the second is bad. She plans to do an operation. The last one was unsuccessful.

In Krasnoyarsk, she goes to a travel agency, and the staff help her choose a ticket. Baba Lena is traveling with a backpack. Of course, it's hard for her to wear it herself, but absolutely always and everywhere there are people who help her. And you should have seen her neatly hung outfits in the room! Granny is just unreal !!!

I was amazed at how sanely she thinks, what a flexible and tenacious mind at 89 years old! She is an interesting conversationalist and just a positive person!

Of course, being alone, it was hard for her to deal with all the nuances in Vietnam, and we decided to take patronage over her during the rest:) We tried to show her the maximum of what was available to her physically.

And she is generally such a person - open to everything new. For example, they asked if she would like to try riding a bike with a driver - she agreed with great enthusiasm! I rode behind her on the seat and asked if she was scared. To which the woman Lena said: "Super !!!" The Vietnamese driver hugged her for so long, did not want to leave directly:) In general, there were a lot of positive moments, some of them are in the photo:)
