The QuickLook application will help.
A very convenient feature is available to macOS users: when you press the spacebar, a preview of any file is instantly displayed on the screen. A similar feature is available on Windows 10 using the QuickLook app.
Highlight a video or, for example, a document, press the spacebar, and a window with the necessary information will appear. You can watch the video or read the text of the document. After that, you can immediately open the file in a standard application for the format: just press Enter or on the special button in the upper right corner of the window.
It is possible to open files in other programs. You can rotate the mouse wheel while holding down the Ctrl button to zoom in and out, and scroll through files using the arrows.
