Frequent travel disrupts your regular workout schedule, and it's not easy to get back to the gym afterwards. A few helpful tips will help you stay active wherever you are.
Ditch the all-or-nothing approach
Be prepared for things to go wrong. Your flight may be delayed, or you have to urgently deal with work issues, and there will be no time for a full workout. In this case, do not skip the workout at all, do at least something. For example, if you usually spend an hour at the gym, work out for 20 minutes this time.
The main thing is to be active. Walk, stretch, or do simple exercises right in your room.
Try new sports
See changing your routine as an opportunity to try something new. If you routinely work out on machines, switch to bodyweight exercises to build strength. Take a long walk. And if you need to meet people, ask for a meeting on the go.
Search local gyms
If you are staying at a hotel that does not have a gym, or have special preferences, look for information on local fitness centers and gyms. There are many of them in big cities, and your choice will depend only on how much you are willing to pay.
A one-time pass is usually more expensive, so try negotiating a weekly pass or discounts.
Bring light sports equipment with you
For example, training loops. You can attach them anywhere - on a door, a tree, a horizontal bar in a park - and perform any exercise with your own weight. These hinges will not take up much space in your suitcase and will help you stay in shape.
