Preparation
Pour oil into a large saucepan and sauté the garlic over medium heat. The process will take about 2-3 minutes, during which time the garlic will turn golden. Remove it from the oil and set it aside.
In the same saucepan, add the cauliflower, disassembled into inflorescences, broth, thyme, salt and pepper. Simmer the soup over low heat until the cabbage softens (about 15–20 minutes).
Grind the finished soup with a blender until smooth. Garlic and drizzle with olive oil before serving.
3. Steak with garlic and rosemary
Ingredients
- 1 rib eye steak;
- 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 3 sprigs of rosemary;
- salt and black pepper to taste.
Preparation
Place the steak in a well-heated skillet and fry it in any usual way. Remove the meat from the pan and let it rest.
Meanwhile, pour the oil into another skillet, put it on low heat and add the garlic and rosemary. As soon as the garlic begins to brown, transfer the steak with tongs to the pan and heat it on both sides, pressing it to the bottom.
Season the steak on both sides with salt and pepper, place on a plate, add oil, garlic and rosemary.
4. Baked garlic
Ingredients
- 4 large heads of garlic;
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 sprigs of thyme;
- salt, black pepper - to taste;
- toast - for serving.
Preparation
Cut the heads of garlic across and place them on a baking sheet, cut side up. Drizzle them with olive oil, sprinkle with thyme, salt and pepper. Cover the garlic with foil and bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for half an hour. Then remove the foil and continue cooking the garlic for about 10 minutes to brown.
Place the finished cloves on toast or use for other dishes such as pasta sauces.
5. Honey-garlic prawns with broccoli
Ingredients
For the dish:
- 450 g shrimp;
- 100-150 g broccoli, divided into inflorescences;
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
For the sauce:
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon chopped ginger;
- 4 tablespoons of honey;
- 3 tablespoons of soy sauce.
Preparation
Combine all the ingredients for the sauce, mix well and divide in two. Marinate peeled shrimps in half of the sauce (for at least 5-10 minutes, but you can leave it for a day).
While the shrimp is marinating, place the broccoli in a large bowl, add a few teaspoons of water and microwave for 2 minutes.
Heat the pan well, add oil to it and fry the shrimps on it until golden brown (1 minute on each side). When the shrimps are browned, add the broccoli and leftover sauce. Stir the dish thoroughly and remove from heat.
6. Spaghetti Aglio e Olio
Ingredients
- 450 g spaghetti;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- ½ chili pepper;
- ½ cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
- ½ lemon;
- salt to taste;
- grated parmesan - optional.
Preparation
Cook the spaghetti in salted water until al dente. While the pasta is cooking, combine chopped garlic and pepper with olive oil in a large skillet. While stirring constantly, simmer the sauce for about 8 minutes.
When the spaghetti is cooked, drain off the water, leaving about 50 ml. Transfer the pasta to the sauce pan and stir well. Add parsley and zest of half a lemon. Serve garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
7. Garlic cabbage
Ingredients
- 1 small head of cabbage;
- 2 tablespoons olive oil + a little more to grease the mold;
- 5 cloves of garlic;
- salt, black pepper to taste.
Preparation
Cut the cabbage into large pieces and place on a greased baking sheet. In a separate bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of oil with minced garlic. Spread this mixture over the cabbage slices and season with salt and pepper. Send the dish into an oven preheated to 200 ° C for 35-40 minutes, until the cabbage is softened and browned. Serve as a side dish or side dish.
8. Chicken baked with lemon and garlic
Ingredients
- 1 chicken weighing 1.5–2 kg;
- salt, black pepper - to taste;
- 1 lemon;
- 1 head of garlic;
- 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil.
Preparation
