Bear for iOS and macOS - stylish note and article app

The Bear app was originally a simple tool for transferring text between Mac and iPhone, used by a handful of people. However, over time, it has acquired many useful features and turned into a full-fledged application. Early public reviews showed Bear's enormous potential. The commentators were generous with praise.

Bear design and interface

Bear's working window is divided into three parts: the control panel, the list of notes, and the editor. In addition to the switch between posts and the trash can, the first column lists the tags that you used in your work. The same tag can be present in different texts. The number of tags in one note is not limited.

In practice, this sorting approach is very convenient compared to storing in folders. You will never forget where you left the material, and you can easily find it by keywords.

The middle column contains post thumbnails and a smart search bar, which features operator support. For example, enter the @images command to find materials that contain images. A video from the developers explains this feature in more detail.

The last column is for creativity. Here is a blank sheet of paper to paint with thoughts and visual effects. Bear has everything you need to do this.

Bear functions

Bear's text editor is great for both small to-do lists and long essays. Here are the functions that will make the text structured, easy to read and pleasing to the eye:

Bold, strikethrough, underline and italic writing, as well as indentation and horizontal separator.
To-do lists, numbered and bulleted lists.
Quote Blocks, Code Fields, External Links, Images, and Attachments.

You can format elements using icons, keyboard shortcuts, and Markdown. At the same time, the editor automatically recognizes and prepares e-mails, postal addresses, HEX-colors.

Separately, we note Bear's function of cross-referencing between records. Go to the thumbnail of the note you are interested in and copy the link - now it can be used in other text.

Bear Pricing Policy

The basic version is free. It has no additional themes, synchronization between gadgets and data export to PDF, HTML, JPEG, DOCX. The subscription costs $ 1.5 per month or $ 15 per year. The restrictions are not critical, so the application will be of interest to a wide range of users.
