However, there is a way to teach services to work on their own. You probably already guessed that this is the IFTTT project.

IFTTT is a special service that allows you to tie together a wide variety of web applications and make them seamlessly perform the actions you want. The very idea of such an Internet automation seems to us so promising, and the examples of the use of IFTTT are so useful that from this week we decided to start a new blog section called IFTTT Recipe of the Day … But first, we want to remind you of the basic principles of this service.

The basic principle of IFTTT operation is encrypted in its name.

That is, if an event (Trigger) occurs in one place, then the action we have set (Action) takes place in another. In this case, the word "place" usually means one of the Internet services, although not only. These services, in IFTTT terminology, are called Channels. Moreover, each channel has its own, unique to it, a set of triggers and actions.

Since the channels are made for receiving and transmitting various data, you need to activate each of them, that is, give the IFTTT service the right to operate with your data in various services. This is done very simply, and usually consists in entering your credentials.

The combination of a trigger and an action from the channels you have activated is called a Recipes and this is, in fact, exactly what we need IFTTT for. You can create recipes yourself, or you can use the ones made by other users of the service, in whole or by editing some of the parameters for yourself. Recipes are distributed in the form of such a visual picture:
