Bastion for iOS is one of the best RPGs with an excellent soundtrack

I'm not a huge fan of mobile games. I prefer Pocket to casual games, which often kill time, and cool projects always go hand in hand with inconvenient controls and short gadget life.

But sometimes you come across such projects, because of which you sit for hours tied to the iPhone charging and will not get away from the game for more than a minute. Bastion would be one of those games if I hadn't played it twice before on a computer. Having accidentally found out that it is for iOS and is being sold at a discount, I realized that nothing deserves a review like this game.

Bastion is an RPG set in a fictional post-disaster world (Calamity). We play Kid, whose name we will never know. Our main character is silent and the narration is taken over by Rooks - another person who survived the disaster. He asks us to bring the necessary materials to rebuild the Bastion, the only stronghold of humanity. This is what we have to do, traveling the world, killing hostile creatures and meeting new characters.

The guy we're playing as can carry two ranged and melee weapons, use a special ability, and defend with a shield if you don't prefer a two-handed weapon.

You can choose weapons, elixirs, special abilities and much more in the buildings of the Bastion. With each material you bring, you will build a new building in which you can acquire new goods and opportunities.

There is tutorial material in the game that probably won't come in handy for those familiar with the RPG genre. In the settings, I advise you to choose the classic control, it is much more convenient to play with it than with the diablo-like “click on the point to which you need to go”.

Bastion is a great game that will entice you for a few hours or more if you get into the atmosphere and want to play it all the way. This is facilitated by the coolest soundtrack from Darren Korb, which I have not deleted from the player for a long time after completing the game.

The price of the game has recently dropped to the minimum, and since the App Store has gone on a week-long vacation and the price of applications will not change, you have 7 days to buy this game. You will not regret it.
