12. Diamond Police Officer
- Germany, USA, 1999.
- Action, thriller, comedy, crime.
- Duration: 93 minutes.
- IMDb: 6, 3.
Miles is a jewelry thief. During one of the thefts, everything goes awry: the partner deceives Miles, in the midst of the operation, the police arrive and the hero quickly hides a huge diamond in the ventilation of the building. After serving two years for this atrocity, he goes in search of his treasure and discovers that the building has become the new headquarters of the Los Angeles police. To find the diamond, he introduces himself as a police officer and, together with a naive detective, sets off on the trail of his unfaithful former "colleague".
The plot of the picture develops quite briskly, which does not let the viewer get bored. The abundance of humorous scenes also adds to the liveliness of the film. And the ending of the story will definitely surprise you.
It is also interesting to watch the film because of the unusual acting duo: the always cheerful Martin Lawrence collaborates with the invariably quiet and intelligent Luke Wilson.
11. Brooklyn cops
- USA, 2009.
- Thriller, drama, crime.
- Duration: 132 minutes.
- IMDb: 6, 7.

And Eddie is the site's oldest clerk who teaches new recruits a week before retirement. The destinies of these police officers intersect when Eddie suddenly sees a missing girl on the street.
Brooklyn Cops is a poignant drama about hopelessness. The film evokes strong feelings, ranging from pity and compassion to anger and disgust. It is not only the emotional background of the picture that keeps in suspense, but also the plot. From the very beginning, the viewer is intrigued by the fact that the lines of all the characters, weakly connected to each other, will intersect at one moment.
10. Police Academy

- Comedy.
- Duration: 92 minutes.

And one of the students, Mahoney, is completely forced to take the course as the only alternative to prison. During his training, he has a conflict with Lieutenant Harris, who wants to squeeze Mahoney out of the academy.
This film became a comedy superhit of the 80s, having won love all over the world. The success of the painting gave impetus to the creation of many continuation tapes. The Police Academy series includes seven films. Also, based on the cult cinema, television and cartoons were shot.
9.48 hours
- USA, 1982.
- Action, thriller, drama, comedy, crime.
- Duration: 93 minutes.
- IMDb: 6, 9.
Police officer Jack must find the escaped criminal. To do this, he pulls out Reji, the fugitive's former partner, from prison for 48 hours. These two have nothing in common, but circumstances force them to become partners for two days.
The tape has become a kind of classic buddy-cop-films, in which two people of different characters are united for investigations and for the sake of the case overcome the desire to strangle each other. Later, the Lethal Weapon franchise took up the 48 Hours baton.
The credit to the film is made not only by an interesting plot and great humor, but also by the acting. Nick Nolte is beautiful in the form of a stern and always smoking cop, and comedian Eddie Murphy successfully contrasts with him.
8. Red heat
- USA, 1988.
- Action, thriller, comedy, crime.
- Duration: 93 minutes.
- IMDb: 6, 9.
Chicago detective Art captures Viktor Rustavili, a dangerous drug lord from Russia. The captain of the Moscow police, Ivan, is sent to the states to deliver the criminal to his homeland. However, he escapes, and Art and Ivan begin to cooperate to catch the villain. But in order to get the job done, colleagues will have to end their disagreements.
"Red Heat" is a comedy thriller that is not intended for a strict and discerning audience. But it is perfect as a so-called brain candy - a movie exclusively for relaxation and entertainment. Not only comic situations, but also the "cranberry" actions of Russians look funny in the film.
The film also deserves attention thanks to the excellent duet of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who plays a stern Russian policeman, and James Belushi, his chatty American counterpart.
7. Bad guys
- USA, 1995.
- Action, comedy, thriller, crime.
- Duration: 119 minutes.
- IMDb: 6, 9.
The family man Marcus and the ladies' man Mike serve approximately in the Miami police. Suddenly, a large batch of drugs is stolen from the station, which was seized during a serious investigation. The task of detectives is to return the loss within five days, otherwise their section will be closed. The situation is complicated not only by the tight deadlines: in order to get the only witness to talk to the case, partners must pretend to be each other.
This tape is the directorial debut of Michael Bay, who later directed a series of films about transformers, and also created the pictures "The Rock", "Pearl Harbor" and others. Bay's signature style is also discernible in his first film: Bad Boys has a lot of spectacular special effects and dynamics.
The film has two sequels - Bad Boys 2 and Bad Boys Forever, which are generally less popular than the first part.
6. Rush hour
- USA, 1998.
- Action, comedy, thriller, crime.
- Duration: 98 minutes.
- IMDb: 7, 0.

After that, the assistant Jantao kidnaps the daughter of the Chinese consul while he is in America. Inspector Lee is sent to the States to help with the investigation. Rush Hour is filmed in the best traditions of a buddy-cop-movie - films about the adventures of policemen who are friends despite their dissimilarity. However, it stands out strongly against the background of other films - and not only with its exciting plot and an abundance of humorous scenes. The special merit of the film, undoubtedly, was the bright tandem of Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan, which captivated viewers around the world.
5. Macho and nerd
- USA, 2012.
- Action, comedy, crime.
- Duration: 109 minutes.
- IMDb: 7, 2.

The partners are sent on an undercover operation: they must again become school students and unravel the drug trafficking case. This event for both becomes a chance to catch up in school years.
The film is based on 21 Jump Street, popular in the 80s and 90s. Johnny Depp played the main character in it. The creators of "Macho and Botan" decided to pay tribute to the artist and filmed him in a cameo role. The appearance of Depp was thought over and written by Jonah Hill - the performer of the role of Schmidt, and also one of the screenwriters.
"Macho and Nerd" is an amateur film: there is a lot of "adult" humor, and the main characters are not very smart guys. For those who like such comedies, the picture will give an extremely positive impression.
4. Black clanman
- USA, 2018.
- Drama, comedy, crime, biography.
- Duration: 135 minutes.
- IMDb: 7, 5.
Ron Stallworth is the first black officer hired by the Colorado Police Department. He boldly decides on a dangerous mission: to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan and destroy it. However, Ron is unable to meet with representatives of this organization due to his skin color. Then the man hires a more experienced colleague, Flip Zimmerman, to join the ranks of the group and prevent them from realizing their plans.
The film is based on the real story of Ron Stahlworth, who infiltrated and destroyed the extremist clan. The film was shot by the famous Hollywood director Spike Lee. Despite the fact that it tells about the dramatic moments in the history of the United States, the picture is notable for its perky and driving mood. Spike Lee won the 2018 Cannes Film Festival Grand Prix for his work.
3. Lethal weapon

The film is a real hit of the 80s, which turned into a source of catchphrases, for example, "I'm too old for all this shit." And references to him can be found in many other films.
Lethal Weapon became so popular that it marked the beginning of numerous sequels. Three more films from the series were filmed, and all of them were quite warmly received by the audience.
2. Training day

- Thriller, drama, crime.
- Duration: 122 minutes.
- IMDb: 7, 7.

Jake soon realizes that Alonzo is not who he claims to be. Two talented policemen enter into a fight, from which only one will get out alive.
The twisted plot and textured characters capture the viewer's attention and hold it until the very end. The strong acting work of Ethan Hawke and Denzel Washington deserves special mention. The play of the second, however, was appreciated not only by the audience, but also by critics: he was nominated for an Oscar, Sputnik and Golden Globe as the best male role.
1. Type cool cops

Everything here seems to Nicholas too peaceful and boring until a terrible crime occurs. In the precinct, the case is listed in the category of accidents, but Nicholas is sure: everything is not so simple. In addition, more and more people are dying for unknown reasons.
The film was directed by renowned British director Edgar Wright. This tape is considered one of the most popular in his filmography - along with "Zombie named Sean", "Scott Pilgrim" and others. She is distinguished by absurd black humor, colorful characters and a special atmosphere. And Wright's non-trivial techniques make the film lively and dynamic.
