The PhotoTracker Lite extension simplifies common tasks associated with image search. For example, it selects pictures of the appropriate size or helps to find out who and where uses your copyright photos without permission.
It is noteworthy that this useful tool was created by Daniel Chvanov, a Russian developer and traveler. For the past three years, Daniel has been living in Thailand and has a personal photoblog about the most interesting back streets, fauna and important events of the Kingdom.
Probably, a close connection with photography was the starting point for the creation of PhotoTracker Lite. As the author himself writes, the extension will find your author's photo in any corner of the web in two clicks. For this, a search is used in four systems at once: Google, Yandex, Bing and TinEye. The first three need no introduction, and TinEye is worth mentioning separately.
TinEye's Canadians are experts in computer vision and object recognition. The company maintains a service that finds similar images using neural networks and machine learning. The TinEye engine is adapted for low expansion samples. Since 2008, it has indexed over 16.6 billion images. The base is so huge that there are practically no gaps in it.
And if there are holes, then they will probably be closed by the Russian-American troika. By the way, in the settings of PhotoTracker Lite, you can specify which search engines to use and which to disable.
Install PhotoTracker Lite and hover over the image - a round green icon will appear in the lower right corner. Click on it to search through four sources, each of which will open in a new tab. You can also send a request through the right-click menu.
PhotoTracker Lite works in all browsers based on Chrome, such as Opera, Yandex Browser or Vivaldi.
The extension was created to:
- The artist or photographer has identified resources that host his work without reference to the author.
- The user found a similar picture with better quality.
- A shopaholic found a similar product in another online store.
- A member of the social network has determined if his avatar is being used in fake profiles.
