What can you take if everything is prohibited

Many low-cost airlines put price tags on any luggage, limiting the weight of even hand luggage. However, it allows you to carry a number of things with you into the salon that do not need to be weighed, drawn up, or labeled with tags:

  • telephone, camera, camcorder or laptop;
  • handbag or briefcase;
  • a folder for papers or printed materials for reading in flight;
  • umbrella, cane or bouquet of flowers;
  • outerwear or suit in a cover;
  • baby food and a cradle when flying with a child;
  • crutches, a folding wheelchair if they can be safely stowed in the aircraft cabin.

All this is allowed, regardless of how heavy the rest of the baggage is. These things must be carried by the passenger separately, not inserted into the suitcase. But even the most stingy air carrier has no right to charge a fee for their transportation.

What happens if you use your phone while flying

When a ban on the use of electronics on board is announced over the speakerphone, many only lazily switch their smartphone to airplane mode. And someone completely dismisses it, continuing to play races on the tablet. What is so terrible about these electronic devices and can an aircraft crash if some forgetful passenger receives an SMS during landing?

In fact, even the FCC has long been that working mobile communication devices, if they can create any interference, only ground installations. Calls from the ship do not affect the operation of the aircraft. However, do not rush to rejoice ahead of time. According to the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, regular notifications by speakerphone about the prohibition to use electronic games, video cameras, telephones and other electronic equipment on board are mandatory. And for direct violation of the order of the commander of the ship, you can have an administrative fine (2,000-5,000 rubles) or arrest (up to 15 days).

Will they be fed on board

Have you ever had such anxiety before the flight, will there be lunch on board or should you take a snack with you (do not buy sky-high expensive snacks at the airport)? In order not to worry about such little things in the future, remember the simple rules.

  • If the flight lasts less than three hours, no one will feed you. This will be an exclusively personal initiative of the air carrier.
  • On longer flights, you will be fed three hours after takeoff, and then fed every four hours during the day and every six hours at night.
  • Unfortunately, the carrier will do this if you have been warned in advance (before purchasing the ticket) about the absence of such services.

What to do if your flight is delayed

Of course, you can already start settling down at the airport for the night. But this may not be useful if you clearly understand what you are doing in case of a delay in the plane. Start counting your waiting time from the flight departure time indicated on the ticket.

For any delay:

  • passengers with children under 7 years old are allowed to use the mother and child room;
  • luggage storage is organized for everyone.

If the delay is longer than two hours, the carrier is obliged:

  • provide the opportunity to make two phone calls or send the same number of messages by e-mail;
  • provide soft drinks.

If your flight is delayed for more than four hours, you will be provided with hot meals and then fed every six hours during the day and every eight hours at night.

If the flight is postponed for a period of more than eight hours during the day or more than six hours at night, you are guaranteed hotel accommodation (with delivery to and from it). All this must be provided to you without charging any additional fee.

By the way, according to the laws of the Russian Federation, if the flight was postponed without a good reason, the air carrier is obliged to pay for each hour of waiting in the amount of 3% of the ticket cost, as well as 25% of the minimum wage, but not more than half of the ticket price.

How much alcohol can you take by plane?

The luggage that you check in at the check-in counter contains up to 5 liters of strong (24–70%) alcoholic and unlimited light alcoholic beverages (up to 24%) for one person.

It is allowed to take on board:

  • alcohol (in a sealed bag, purchased on the day of the trip);
  • drink in a container up to 100 ml, always securely closed. If the volume of the container exceeds 100 ml, then it will not be accepted for transportation, even if the bottle is only partially filled.

By the way, you should not try to liquidate alcohol that is not allowed to fly by immediately drinking it. Because this entails certain consequences.

  • Many airlines will not serve a passenger under the influence of alcohol at all (for example, "").
  • You can unilaterally travel by air (of course, without any compensation) if you violate the rules of conduct on board, endanger the safety of the flight or the life and health of others.
  • You can be applied to and dropped off at the nearest airport (having made an unscheduled landing) if, again, you pose an immediate threat to the flight. In this case, the obligation to compensate the losses incurred by the air carrier and other passengers will fall on your shoulders.
  • And if you begin to behave inappropriately under a degree, you can answer according to the article: for hooliganism (or "ordinary") or even.

Although, in fact, no one prohibits drinking in plain text on board. The main thing is not to abuse it.

How not to receive an invitation to personal search

Have you ever wondered why someone is checked quickly and without question before the flight, while someone is "scanned" especially carefully, and sometimes even taken to a separate room? Everything is very simple.

Special rules for conducting pre-flight and post-flight inspections establish: attention is paid to nervous, worried and fussy passengers. It is such a person who is invited to undergo a personal psychological survey to "determine the degree of his potential danger."

Be calm and confident in yourself, know your rights and travel with pleasure!
