Forest is an app for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. In it you have to plant a new tree every time you get to work. If you take a break from work and open any application on your smartphone, the tree will die. If you finish the specified period of time to the end, the tree will be planted in your forest. The idea is very cool and really works.
I was skeptical about this application. It seemed to me that forcing myself not to be distracted by a smartphone for the sake of a virtual tree is not the best idea. However, later I took my words back. Forest is cool, has nothing superfluous and really works.
Forest is most easily described as a mobile game. You choose any tree you like, set the length of time for work (from 30 minutes) and start the timer. Now, if you turn on your phone and exit the app to go to Facebook, your browser or any other place, the tree will die.
However, if you finish the specified period of time to the end, then the tree will be planted on your virtual farm.
There are several types of trees, and they differ only externally. You can buy them for coins, which will be credited to you for productive work. There are no in-app purchases.
Surprisingly, the app really works. Responsibility for the virtual tree somehow overpowers the desire to get a smartphone and rummage through social networks. Most likely, because this desire is nothing more than a common habit, which is not so difficult to get rid of.
Forest has statistics showing how many trees you planted, or rather, how productively you worked.
Forest is one of those apps that will come in handy for anyone who wants to be more productive. Forest's price differs depending on the platform. On iOS, the app costs 62 rubles, on Google Play it is distributed free of charge, but with ads, and on Windows Phone it can be purchased for 32 rubles.
