Mushrooms and loqua lower sugar levels in diabetics, cherries and leeks facilitate waste elimination, and wheat grains have an ideal ratio of nutrients required for energy production. Today we are talking about products that promote proper metabolism.
In a broad sense, all foods are involved in the metabolism, since, being eaten, they are involved in the chemical processes of the body. However, the foods described in this article are more involved in metabolic processes than others.
Lack of weight
Many articles have been written about losing weight: there are both about diets and about. We have already given detailed instructions on, and today we will focus on nutrition.
If a person is losing weight, a complete medical examination should be carried out to determine the causes and rule out any malignant processes.
The most common causes of weight loss are diseases of the digestive system, fever, intestinal parasites, increased physical activity (not commensurate with the amount of food consumed), hormonal diseases (for example, hyperthyroidism).
Diet
To help a person gain weight, the diet must meet three requirements:
- It should provide enough calories in the form of carbohydrates. This will allow the body to metabolize dietary proteins in order to synthesize new ones. If the diet does not contain enough calories, the body uses proteins for energy rather than building tissues.
- It must provide an adequate supply of B vitamins, which are needed to metabolize carbohydrates and convert them into energy.
- It must maintain the correct ratio of three sources of nutrients that provide the body with energy: carbohydrates (60%), fats (30%) and proteins (10%).
In order to increase the number of calories, concentrated foods, also rich in B vitamins, are recommended.

Physical fatigue
A state of physical weakness caused by normal physical activity, which should not lead to fatigue. This is one of the most common medical complaints. It is also called fatigue, overwork, lack of energy, or asthenia.
Hormonal, cardiac, or respiratory disturbances cause physical fatigue. Weakness can also be caused by infections: acute (flu) or chronic (tuberculosis).
Diet
An inappropriate diet can also lead to physical fatigue. When a diet consists mostly of refined and processed foods (“empty calories”), certain nutrients that can only be obtained from fresh fruits and vegetables (such as vitamin C) are depleted. Conversely, a diet of predominantly plant-based foods and simple cooked foods provides the body with strength and resilience.
It is necessary not only to eliminate the causes of fatigue, but also to restore strength. A diet that includes the foods listed below can help a weakened body grow stronger.

Elevated triglyceride levels
Triglycerides are a type of fat that circulates in the blood and forms part of lipoproteins along with cholesterol and phospholipids. Elevated triglyceride levels lead to arteriosclerosis and, as a result, heart attack and stroke.
Triglycerides are formed as a result of the chemical interaction of glycerol and fatty acids, they are found in all fats. Vegetable oils are predominantly composed of triglycerides.
Diabetes, hypothyroidism, and liver disease can increase triglyceride levels, although in most cases hereditary factors are cited as the cause.
Diet
Certain foods have been shown to lower triglyceride levels and therefore reduce the risk of arteriosclerosis and heart disease.

Gout
Gout is a disease characterized by the deposition of uric acid crystals in the tissues, manifested by inflammation and acute pain in the joints. The most susceptible to gout is the metatarsophalangeal joint (at the base of the big toe). Men and women who have entered the period of menopause are more susceptible to gout due to the action of hormones.
Uric acid is formed in the body in two ways:
- From foods, as a waste product of the metabolism of certain proteins called nucleoproteins.
- From the body's own cells. When uric acid is produced too intensively and the kidneys do not have time to excrete it, its content in the blood rises, and it is deposited in various tissues surrounding the joints. There it causes inflammation and pain. This phenomenon is known as gout.
Diet
Foods recommended for patients with gout must meet two conditions:
- They should be low in purine, which leads to the formation of uric acid.
- They should help remove uric acid. Alkalizing foods improve urinary excretion of uric acid, while oxidizing foods have the opposite effect.
Fruits and most vegetables meet these two conditions.

Diabetes
The so-called diabetes mellitus is a disease associated with impaired glucose metabolism. In reality, this term refers to two diseases with a common symptom - high blood sugar.
- Type I diabetesalso called juvenile or insulin-dependent diabetes. Due to a viral infection, toxins or an autoimmune reaction and a hereditary predisposition, the cells of the pancreas that produce insulin are affected. Such diabetics are thin and should receive insulin from infancy.
- Type II diabetesalso called mature onset diabetes or non-insulin dependent diabetes. Its cause is unknown, but it is complicated by a diet rich in sweets and refined foods and poor whole grains.
Diet
The foods recommended in the table are good for controlling diabetes and avoiding complications. Therefore, they should be included in any diet plan prescribed by a healthcare professional.
Foods that should be restricted or avoided trigger or exacerbate diabetes. Diabetics who follow these simple guidelines will be able to control their disease.

Hypoglycemia
A metabolic disorder characterized by a drop in blood glucose levels below the minimum level necessary for the proper functioning of the brain (approximately 80 mg / 100 ml). The main signs are weakness, hunger and nervousness.
Falling glucose levels to a critical level can cause cold sweats, dizziness, heart palpitations, fainting, and even coma. The most common cause of hypoglycemia is excess insulin due to:
- overdose in the treatment of diabetes;
- increased production of insulin by the pancreas itself (a reaction to an unexpected increase in glucose levels caused by the use of sugar).
A balanced, low-sugar diet with regular meals at the same time will help prevent hypoglycemia. However, in acute situations it may be necessary to consume a certain amount of sweets or sugar in order to raise blood glucose levels.
