1. Gorgeous shooting

Battle Royale is a shooter subgenre. However, few games of this type pay enough attention to shooting. The only exception is Blackout - the "royal battle" mode from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Moreover, all locations, settlements and buildings on the map are unique, unlike, for example, PUBG. This is partly why the fights in the game are different and memorable.

3. Character skills influencing tactics

One of the main differences between Apex Legends and many other "royal battles" is the characters with unique abilities.

Each of the eight heroes has one passive skill, one active skill and one ulta. Skills in the game affect gameplay: their correct use and combination can bring a team victory.

All elements of the gameplay are simple at their core, which is good for beginners. But the longer you play, the more you notice the little things that open up new tactical possibilities and make the game deeper.

5. Convenient tag mechanics

Clicking on the mouse wheel, RB on Xbox One or R1 on PlayStation 4, in Apex Legends, you can put a mark that the rest of the squad can see.

You can mark anything: the enemy or traces of his stay at the location, weapons lying on the ground, a ship flying overhead with valuable loot. What's more, you can even mark items in your inventory to let your teammates know what loot you are missing.

This is a very handy system that allows you to effectively interact with the squad even if you don't have a microphone, or save time explaining if you have a microphone.

6. Good optimization

Apex Legends doesn't look as chic as, for example, Blackout, but it is perfectly optimized. The game runs without brakes and lags even on weak computers and basic versions of consoles.

It has some technical problems - for example, frequent crashes for individual PC players. But otherwise, Apex Legends is a benchmark example of technical optimization.

7. Intuitive loot system

There are four types of loot in the game, indicated by different colors: white, blue, purple and gold. The rarer the item, the better its characteristics. Also, different colors indicate weapons and cartridges of the corresponding types: energy, light, heavy, and so on.

The brightly sparkling loot can be seen from afar, and the player can almost always understand at a glance whether he needs some thing or not.

At the same time, it is not necessary to keep in mind the type of each item found. If, after pressing the "take" button, the item remains on the ground, it means that the corresponding slot is already occupied by the same or more rare item. Or your inventory is clogged, but then a bright icon appears in the center of the screen.

This mechanic works for the dynamism of the game, allowing you to collect loot and clean inventory very quickly. It also makes the shooter friendly to beginners - it's very easy to navigate by colors.
