Holidays and parties are inseparable. It's great to get all your friends together and have a lot of fun. But what if you live in Khrushchev? How to fit several dozen people in 40 square meters? Moreover, so that there was enough room for dancing, everyone was comfortable and after the feast they did not have to make repairs. Here are five rules you can follow to have a great party even in a small apartment.

1. Make a rearrangement

The fewer things in the room, the more people can be accommodated there. Prepare your party room. Take everything unnecessary to another room or to the balcony: whatnots, poufs, a coffee table, a TV stand, and so on. Do not forget about carpets: they will trip over them, they can get dirty. Clear a space in the center, move furniture against the walls.

2. Monitor the temperature

The more people, the less oxygen. Remember this.

If the heating system allows, turn off the batteries. Ideally, when there is an air conditioner: you can set a comfortable temperature and lower it if it suddenly gets hot. No air conditioning? Ventilate the room well before guests arrive and leave the window in micro-ventilation mode. When cooking treats in the oven, try to finish and turn off the oven about an hour before starting.

3. Allocate space for your guests' belongings

The hanger in the hallway is designed for five jackets, and there will be twice as many guests? Not sure where to get two dozen slippers? Don't want everyone to trip over your handbags? Then think about placing outerwear, shoes and other things invited in advance.

It is easier not to hang up jackets and bags, but to fold them. For example, on the bed in the bedroom. If there is no carpet in the apartment and you have removed all the fleecy floor coverings, then invite guests to wipe their boots at the entrance and stay in street shoes. The floor can be washed, but placing several dozen pairs of shoes in the hallway is a problem.

4. Try to use fewer dishes

We usually prepare a bowl of salad and put the treats on the plates. Think about how many dishes you will have to wash afterwards and ditch the traditional approach.

Make portioned snacks that can be eaten over a napkin without a plate: canapes, tartlets, sandwiches. Disposable dishes can be used for hot meals and drinks.

Make sure the sink and / or dishwasher is empty. Empty soiled containers need to be folded somewhere.

5. Buffet vs feast

We are used to gathering at a common table. This is great when it comes to a family dinner or a celebration in a narrow circle. But for a noisy party for 10 or more people, this is not the best solution.

First, you need a large table so that everyone has enough "seats". And if you put a table in the middle of the room, there will be no room for dancing and playing. Secondly, in this case, rule number 4 will not work.

A buffet table is what you need for a party. Don't put all your food and drinks on the same table. Otherwise there will be pandemonium - uncomfortable and ugly. It is better to make several zones with food and drink: we place cocktails on the windowsill, snacks on the table in the corner, and fruits on the shelf.

As you can see, you can even arrange a big party in a modest one-room apartment. If you think it over in advance.
