The new Google Podcasts app lets you search, subscribe, and play the podcasts you want. The main screen contains links to the most popular sources, sorted into different categories. To find the one you want, just click on the search icon and enter a title or keyword.

After that, click on the desired search result, and then on the "Subscribe" button. Below this button is a detailed description of the podcast and a list of available episodes. Any of them can be played immediately or downloaded for offline listening. Subscriptions made and playback progress are synced across all your devices with Google Podcasts installed.

The built-in player allows you to quickly jump to any place by tapping on the playback progress bar. You can quickly go back 10 seconds or jump forward 30 seconds by pressing the corresponding buttons. There is also a choice of speed.

When minimized, the player continues playback. In this case, you can control it using the buttons on the notification panel or the lock screen. The application settings specify the storage time for downloaded episodes - 24 hours or 30 days. There are no other options in the program yet.
