We have published granola recipes more than once, but most of them have been criticized for the heat treatment of ingredients. For those who prefer a raw product, we offer a recipe for breakfast bars, for which you do not need to turn on the stove or oven. As a result, we get a delicacy that combines taste, simplicity and benefit - the perfect trio.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (250 g) peanut butter
  • ¼ cups (60 ml) vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) honey
  • 10 dates;
  • 3 cups (270 g) oatmeal (not instant!)
  • 90 g dark chocolate.

Use a blender to chop the pitted dates and beat them with vegetable and peanut butter (⅔ of the total). Add honey.

Mix the resulting mixture with oatmeal and beat again. Do not turn the mass into a paste, let most of the flakes remain intact.

The mixture will turn out to be dryish, but it should easily roll into balls.

Spread ⅔ of the oat base on a parchment-lined baking sheet. The next step is at your discretion: if you want to completely exclude heat treatment from the recipe, then simply crumble the chocolate and spread it over the surface along with the remaining peanut butter, but if this is not so important for you, then melt the chocolate and mix with the butter, and already then lubricate the surface of the granola with it.

Top with the remaining oatmeal and place in the freezer for at least 4 hours.

Then divide into portions. Store in the refrigerator.
