1. Android Apps
Story Saver
A simple utility for Android smartphone owners designed specifically for downloading photos and videos from Instagram stories. Apart from this, the app also allows you to repost and add content to your favorites.
Log in and Story Saver will show you a list of available stories, starting with the most recent. Select a user, hold your finger on one of the Stories, and then click Save.

Log into your account, open the account of the user of interest from the list and switch to the "History" tab.

2. iOS app

For Opera and Yandex Browser users, the Instagram Web plugin is best suited. It works in a separate window and allows you not only to view your feed on social networks, but also to download stories.
Click on the extension icon in the toolbar and select one of the stories in the window that opens.
Click the arrow icon to save the content to download.
4. Screen recording
Another safe option to download a story or live stream is to capture video from the screen and then save it to a video file. This feature is built into almost all operating systems or can be easily implemented by installing free applications.
In this case, everything that happens on the screen is recorded. This means, unlike all of the above methods, comments and likes of users will be included in the frame. This can be very helpful sometimes.
