On April 14, the Czech director Milos Forman died. Life hacker recalls his best paintings.

1. Amadeus

The outstanding work of the Czech director certainly deserves attention. The film won eight Oscars, including Best Picture, and received a standing ovation from the audience.

This is one of those films that appealed to both critics and viewers. The painting became popular and won five Oscar statuettes. At the same time, the author of the novel was dissatisfied with the script and vowed never to watch this film.

3. Hair

This is a kind movie about love, friendship and destructive war, flavored with great music and a sunny atmosphere. The film has not lost its relevance even after 30 years. His message is more important than ever these days.

4. Man on the Moon

Biographical drama about the most eccentric comedian Andy Kaufman. The plot covers the artist's entire life: from his childhood performances to his death.

The main role was played by Jim Carrey. Many Kaufman fans, including the vocalist of the band R. E. M., believed that Jim would not be able to play the legendary comedian, but after the film's premiere, they changed their minds.

5. The people against Larry Flynt

The protagonist of this picture is Larry Flynt, a businessman from the 70s who made a fortune at the publishing house of the Hustler porn magazine. 6. Amorous adventures of a blonde

The first film by Milos Forman, created after his emigration to the United States. The director quickly became imbued with a rebellious spirit and shot a satire on the theme of generations, ridiculing the vices of American society along the way.

According to the plot of the picture, a teenage girl runs away from home and wanders aimlessly around New York. Parents at this time go in search of her, getting into various situations.

The film flopped at the box office. Apparently, American viewers are sensitive to foreigners who make fun of their way of life.

8. Ragtime

10. Firemen's Ball

A satirical comedy and the last film by Milos Forman, filmed in Czechoslovakia. According to the plot, the fire brigade of a small provincial town is planning a ball dedicated to the birthday of the head of the fire department.

The team has really grandiose plans: a festive lottery, a beauty contest and an expensive present at the very end. But they all turn to dust, and in addition, a fire starts in the city.
