Twin Peaks

  • Drama, detective, fantasy.
  • USA, 2017.
  • IMDb: 8, 7.

In the first two seasons, FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper investigates the murder of high school student Laura Palmer in a small town called Twin Peaks. During the investigation, he realizes that otherworldly forces are involved in the case.

One of the last lines of the second season was "See you in 25 years." Director David Lynch was only a year late: the new season came out 26 years later. The new "Twin Peaks" becomes a direct continuation of the classic story: Agent Cooper was trapped in a mystical black wigwam, and his evil double escaped into the real world.

Secret materials

  • Science fiction, drama.
  • USA, 2016.
  • IMDb: 8, 7.

Another long-awaited sequel is the 10th season of The X-Files. FBI agents Mulder and Scully spent nine years investigating otherworldly phenomena and looking for evidence of the existence of aliens and left the small screens in 2002.

In the new season, the famous couple is back in business and investigates alien abductions, government conspiracies and mystical phenomena. The new series continue the ideas of the classic series, although sometimes they openly sneer at this, showing the changes that have occurred over the years.

MacGyver

  • Action, adventure.
  • USA, 2016.
  • IMDb: 4, 9.

The MacGyver adventure series was once a legend. For seven seasons, Agent Angus MacGyver got out of dangerous situations, helped people and defeated villains, fundamentally refusing to use weapons.

After the series closed in 1992, two full-length films were released, and on September 23, 2016, a remake of the classic show of the same name was launched on ABC channel. The main role was played by Lucas Till ("X-Men: Days of Future Past"). At the moment, the series has been renewed for a second season, which will premiere on September 29th.

One at a time

  • Sitcom.
  • USA, 2017.
  • IMDb: 8, 1.

A poignant dramatic comedy, which was released on screens from 1975 to 1984, about the relationship between a single mother and her children - first juveniles, and then grown-ups - was extremely loved by the audience. The authors skillfully followed current topics like the wave of feminism of the late seventies, reflecting them in their stories.

In January 2017, the streaming service Netflix released the first season of the remake of the series. The new plot revolves around the divorced woman Penelope (now a military veteran) and her children: socially unadapted Alex and feminist Elena.

DuckTales

  • Cartoon, comedy, adventure.
  • USA, 2017.
  • IMDb: 8, 3.

Exactly 30 years after the release of the first issue of the classic animated series, so beloved by children, Scrooge McDuck and the ducklings are returning to the screens. Their story begins from the very beginning: Donald again introduces his nephews to his great-uncle Scrooge, and this becomes the starting point for many adventures.

In addition to the greatly changed picture, which has become simpler and more like comics than classic cartoons, the characters of the characters have also changed: the twins Billy, Willie and Dilly now differ not only in the color of their clothes, but also in their behavior, Donald, who also becomes a constant participant in the events, more hot-tempered, and Ponochka turns into a kind of irrepressible Mabel from the famous "Gravity Falls".

Charmed

  • Drama, fantasy.
  • USA.

The legendary TV series of the late nineties about three sisters-witches lasted eight seasons. The main characters become witches, and now they have to protect the world and unsuspecting ordinary people from evil wizards and the products of black magic. In the classic series, magic, humor and youth problems were perfectly combined.

The talks about restarting the series have been going on for a long time. According to the head of the CW channel, on which the new version will be released, it will be a completely independent story with new characters, but there will also be "the power of three." The script for the remake is being worked on by the scriptwriting team for The Virgin. The exact release date is still unknown.

Dynasty

  • Soap opera.
  • USA, 2017.

The series, which captivated audiences in the eighties, showed the story of the confrontation between the two largest oil companies. But no less important, and sometimes the most significant in the plot, are personal relationships within the families that own these companies, and their confrontation with competitors, often extending far beyond the business.

On October 11, 2017 on the CW channel the premiere of the remake of the Dynasty series will take place. Responsible for the development of John Schwartz ("Lonely Hearts", "Gossip Girl"), and the main roles appear Grant Show ("Melrose Place") and Natalie Kelly ("Body Investigation")

Captain Power and the soldiers of the future

  • Fantastic.
  • USA.

Captain Jonathan Power and his team confront biorobots led by the sinister Lord Dredd, seeking to conquer all of humanity and translate people into digital code.

For several years now, there have been rumors of a relaunch of the series, Captain Power: Rise of the Phoenix. And this year, the creator of the original, Gary Goddard, announced that a new version is in active development. The action of the series will unfold 15 years after the end of the world war, in which people lost to an artificial intelligence named Overmind.

Starsky and Hutch

  • Police procedural.
  • USA.

One of the earliest classic examples of a police show about two dissimilar partners. Starsky is hot-tempered and unrestrained, Hutch is judicious and educated. But it was together that they contrived best of all to catch criminals and maintain order.

In 2004, a remake film was already released, which became rather a funny parody of the original, but now the director of "Guardians of the Galaxy" James Gunn, who is producing the restart and even filming the first episode, has taken over. According to him, the new "Starsky and Hutch" will be a police procedure, each episode of which lasts about an hour.

Will and Grace

  • Sitcom.
  • USA, 2017.

The series ran from 1998 to 2006 and told about four characters: Will - a gay lawyer, his girlfriend and neighbor Grace, who owns a design firm, her assistant Karen and their unemployed friend Jack. Like the famous Friends, the main plot of the series is based on the relationship of the main characters, friendship, the search for love and adversity at work. In the fall, all familiar heroes are expected to return to the screens and the continuation of their stories.

Lost in space

  • Science fiction.
  • USA, 2018.

Science fiction classics hailing from the mid-sixties chronicled humanity's early attempts to colonize space. The Robinson family was selected from a huge number of applicants for the role of the first colonists of the planets in the region of Alpha Centauri. But Dr. Zachary Smith sabotages the expedition and sends the Robinsons' spacecraft into uncharted depths of space.

In the new version, which will be released in 2018, the action is again transferred to the future, namely in the year 2046. The rest of the restart will repeat the plot of the original: the Robinson family and Dr. Smith are again lost in space and wrecked on an unknown planet.
