Step-by-step instructions will help you portray a soldier, a Victory parade, an eternal flame and more.
How to draw the Eternal Flame
What is needed
- Paper;
- simple pencil;
- gouache;
- brush;
- a jar of water;
- palette.
How to draw
Expand the sheet of paper vertically. Use a simple pencil to outline a rectangular burner. To draw a star, extend four oblique lines down from the shape. From the ends of those that are closer to the center, bring down two more. Draw straight horizontal lines from the two line segments.
Draw a flame. It resembles an inverted blob: widened at the bottom and tapering at the top. Draw pointed tongues.
Using yellow gouache, repeat the shape of the fire in the center of the workpiece. Outline the shape with orange paint and then red. Smooth out the transitions between shades with a damp brush.
On the palette, mix white with a little black. Paint over two segments of the star with light gray gouache. Add some more black to the shade, and then cover the rest of the shape with it. Shade the burner.
Make the space under the Eternal Flame brown. Use blue for the background. Draw white strokes in the center of the flame. Circle the star in black gouache.

How to draw a dove of peace
What is needed
- Paper;
- simple pencil;
- watercolor;
- wide brush;
- a jar of water;
- thin brush.
How to draw
Draw an oblique oval to show the body of the bird. Draw a round head. Draw long lines for the tail and two curved triangles for the wings.
Draw two smooth lines to connect the head to the torso. Outline the belly and draw a sharp beak. Sketch feathers on the tail and wings. Make two strokes in place of the paws.
Draw an almond-shaped eye with a round iris inside. Show the dove's curved fingers. Draw a small branch with leaves in the bird's beak.
Paint over the background to the left of the bird. Use a wide brush to paint blue, purple and yellow spots. To make the transitions between shades smooth, wash them with water. Note that in the example, the edges of the sheet are barely covered in paint.
Add pink, yellow and blue watercolors to the dove. Place the strokes on the wings, tail and body and then blur. Make the paws brown and the beak orange.
Paint the leaves and branch with green paint. Take a thin brush to separate the feathers with black color, to emphasize the contours of the eye and body.
Cover the background on the right with blue and purple spots. Dip the brush in blue watercolor and then shake the tool over the paper. It will spray. Add pink drops in the same way.

How to draw a Victory Parade
What is needed
- Paper;
- masking tape;
- gouache;
- wide brush;
- palette;
- a jar of water;
- sponge for washing dishes.
How to draw
Secure the paper to the table with masking tape. Mix white and blue gouache on the palette. Cover the entire sheet with the resulting blue tint.
Apply white paint to the dishwashing sponge, and then draw a curved line in the sky. Repeat with blue and red shades.
Draw a purple plane at the base of each line. To do this, first mark a segment with a pointed tip with a thin brush. Mark the wings with large oblique rectangles, and the tail with small ones.
Sketch the Kremlin. The Spasskaya Tower is a long red triangle. Draw a square and a horizontal rectangle under the shape. Show the walls with small battlements.
In brown gouache, draw a round dial with a triangle underneath. Draw a star on the tower. If desired, the same shapes can be added to airplanes.
Make white strokes on the planes and dots on the star. Circle the dial and mark the arrows. Draw lines along the tower, triangles at the base of the part. Decorate the wall and battlements with white strokes too.

How to draw a soldier
What is needed
- Paper;
- masking tape;
- simple pencil;
- gouache;
- medium brush;
- palette;
- a jar of water;
- black marker;
- wide brush.
How to draw
Secure the sheet of paper with masking tape on the table. Draw a large oval with a simple pencil. This is the head of a soldier. Use vertical lines to mark the neck and horizontal lines to mark the shoulders.
Show the body with straight lines. Outline the cap: draw a visor in a semicircle, and a matching strap with a rectangle. The headdress itself resembles a horizontal oval.
Outline rounded ears and triangular eyebrows. Draw the almond-shaped eyes and place the irises inside. Sketch out the nostrils and lips. The upper lip looks like a half of an oval with a triangular depression in the middle, the lower one is a stroke.
Draw the collar with two rectangles. Draw shoulder straps and round buttons. Show the boundaries of the arms with lines. Add a pocket to the uniform if desired.
Mix beige and white gouache on a palette. Use a medium brush to paint over the soldier's face and neck. Add some red paint to the shade, and then sketch out the strokes on the ears and neck. Make the lips, nostrils and irises brown.
Add some red to the green. You will get a dark shade, which you need to paint over the soldier's uniform. Make the visor of the cap and the contours of the eyes black. To enliven the look of the military, put white dots - highlights.
Mix green and black paint. Draw shoulder straps. With a black marker, circle the body, neck and head. Mark the lines of the arms again. Draw the buttons in yellow gouache.
With a pencil, outline against the background of the cloud. They will remain white. Paint over the space behind the details with blue paint. Better to use a wide brush.
