Despite two full biographies of Jobs, written by different people, little is known about his book habits. In an interview for Isaacson's biography, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, said that Jobs was a "greedy reader" and often advised others on books he had recently read.

Steve only read for information. So, after the disastrous 1980 for the company, Jobs could be found with the book The Innovator's Dilemma, in which he tried to find a solution to the company's problems. Surprisingly, a lot of fiction can be found on his list of favorite books. Jobs loved Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged so much that he managed to get to the theater shortly before his death to see the film adaptation.
