Whether it's just a healthy lifestyle or vegetarianism, green is trendy, even more so when Pantone named it the color of the year. Therefore, you can safely add chickpeas and seaweed here. And in general, it doesn't matter at all where you put the celery and that the avocado from the chain store has no taste. But it's beautiful.
2. Homemade lemonades
In keeping with the theme of healthy eating, homemade lemonades have taken over the menus of restaurants and cafes. They are prepared from natural products: berries, vegetables and herbs. Sparkling water is added to such a blank - and voila! Such drinks attract with their, again, "health".
3. Freak shakes and monster shakes
We haven't seen a single living person eat it completely, but yes, it's a trend. Huge (450 or 700 milliliters!) Cocktails go against everything mentioned above. Everything the chef has for desserts is added to the ice cream and milk base: chocolate, peanut butter, candies, berries, cookies and whipped cream. It turns out a mountain of sweets, which becomes a work of art that explodes Instagram.
4. Burgers
Those who scolded fast food are now biting their elbows: burgers are back in fashion. True, they could not return the same: to get to the top, they had to be thoroughly modified. They are black, green, with lettuce instead of a roll. Surprise with burgers and toppings. With cherry jam? With cranberries? Yes, even with a pickled cactus! Somewhere they even offer to choose the degree of roasting of meat - why not a serious kitchen?
5. Crafting
Did you think that only paper can be craft? But no, everything has become craft this season. This is the kind of food that the manufacturer makes himself: his own grown vegetables, boiled cheese or smoked sausages. So, if you dry fruits at home, you can safely say that this is craft. This trend is only gaining momentum, although craft beer and coffee are already in every bar.
While experts are making gastronomic forecasts for the next year, we will enjoy the taste and remember that trends come and go, but the appetite always remains.
