[Personal opinion] Why Apple is no longer living up to expectations?

Every year, fans of Cupertin's products more and more complain that the once revolutionary company led by Steve Jobs is sliding further downhill, not surprising with new products and finds. After each new iPhone presentation in the comments to news, reviews and videos, you can subtract the boring phrase “Apple is no longer a cake”. The majority's opinion is quite simple to follow: without Jobs, the company cannot find the right, necessary vector of development. With his departure, the magic vanished. But is it really so? Let's think a little.

I know that among our readers there are a large number of people who quite adequately perceive the “new Apple”, so this text may cause confusion for them, and the only comment that pops up in their head after reading is “Thank you, CEP!”. But there is also a part of the audience who are still confident that Apple's decline is already close. Maybe they will be interested in this material.

Correct. Cook has worked in Cupertino long enough and has done a lot for Apple to take and bury all his achievements overnight. Perhaps his decisions are not yet so radical (although many believe the opposite, looking at the iPhone 6 Plus), but there are changes, and they should be.

However, after watching the latest broadcast or reading the news of the product presentation, we no longer sit with bulging eyes and open mouths, looking at a new smartphone with a bitten apple. Why is this happening? Has the designers' inspiration gone, or are the engineers treading water, unable to implement the ideas of the former? It's very simple: our main enemy is the Internet. It is thanks to him that we learn about all the new products much earlier than they are presented to a wide audience. Of course, news resources are also to blame for something (yes, MacRadar, for example, is no exception), which cover all the company's leaks.

You go to any social network, and there, as if from a cornucopia, news immediately pours out that some company has begun to produce new large glass for the iPhone, another - cases for new MacBooks, and still others have leaked new screenshots of the future iOS version. Of course, we, as admirers of Apple technology, are interested in everything related to new products, especially not officially announced. In general, a person is an extremely curious creature, and therefore collects various information from all sources that come to hand. And the closer the release of this or that device, the more data pops up. As a result, when viewing the conference where it is announced, we are no longer surprised by the appearance or new features. Therefore, it begins to seem that Apple is not able to come up with anything new. “We have known and seen all this for a long time! Show at least something new already!” - comments are printed under each announcement. But you are wrong, you are already being shown something new. Only officially, as expected. Who knew that you tremble over every news and rumor like Gollum over the Ring of Power? For those who have not read about leaks, the presentation is much more interesting.

Often, after a new leak appears on the network, many authors (and even entire editions) begin to convey to the reader not only the very essence of the posted material (information about this has appeared - a fact), but also their personal opinion regarding its appearance. This was very well traced on many resources regarding news about the "enlarged" iPhone 6. Together with unconfirmed information, the reader was "reminded" that the ideal smartphone size is 4.5 ", iOS 6 is better than new OS releases, and without Steve everything goes awry, and the company has betrayed all its values and follows the lead of the market.

Due to such author's opinions, doubts creep in the reader's mind that Apple is on the right path. In the comments, swearing begins due to new renders, rumors, leaks … although in fact nothing has been announced yet. As a result, after the presentation the people: a) are upset; b) I am sure that everything shown is stupidity.

An author's opinion is always good, whether it's a game, an app, or a new company product. But only if the author can express it after having tried / tested the application / technique. You can, of course, about certain advantages and disadvantages of products before their announcements, but not give them away as the ultimate truth. Reader, you should form your own opinion, and not agree with the author! Unfortunately, this does not happen very often.

Internet leaks destroy all the magic. We learn about the products long before their announcement, so we are not surprised by anything at the presentation.

We have an opinion on the as yet unreleased device. Moreover, it is often negative, because imposing the positive will not attract attention.

First, if you really want to be surprised at something, then try not to read the details about new rumors. Yes, it is difficult when new unconfirmed data “rolls in” from most of the readable sources, but it is quite possible to protect yourself from at least some of this information.

Secondly, of course, think with your own head. If the author of the article believes that “Apple is no longer a cake,” this does not mean that it really is, no matter how high his authority is (just remember his endless unfulfilled predictions).

Maybe it's not about Apple, which has ceased to amaze, but about people who have ceased to be surprised? Remember, when you were little, how happy you were with the fireworks on New Year's and that you can stay awake until morning. And now? I watched TV and went to bed at about three o'clock. The magic did not disappear in Apple, it disappeared inside us …
