The Steam Link app can be linked to your computer to stream games to your smartphone or Android TV.
As announced earlier in May, Valve released the Steam Link app for streaming PC games to Android smartphones and tablets. Thus, a large library of games from Steam has become available on the mobile platform. The release on the iOS operating system will take place soon.
For comfortable work you will need:
- Bluetooth gamepad.
- A high-speed 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection or an Ethernet cable connection is desirable for an Android TV.
To stream games, you first need to bind your mobile device to the Steam client on your computer. Thus, owners of TVs with Android TV will be able to run games through the installed Steam Link application. In addition, it is quite possible to open any Dark Souls on a smartphone with a Steam Controller connected, an Xbox One gamepad or any other compatible control device.
Declared support for resolutions and FPS up to 4K @ 60.
Steam Link for Android is currently in beta testing, so bugs and shortcomings are possible.
