They say that at the beginning of the 20th century, the Tsvetaev sisters served this apple pie to the guests. And so they liked the unusual combination of a delicate sweet sauce and tart apples on the inside and a hard crust on the outside.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of apples (it is better to use Antonov apples: they will add extra astringency to the dish);
  • 2 cups wheat flour;
  • 1 ½ cups sour cream of any fat content;
  • 150 g butter;
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1 cup of sugar;
  • ½ teaspoon of baking soda;
  • 1 egg.

Preparation

Mix room temperature butter with 1 ½ cup flour. Pour ½ cup sour cream into the resulting mixture and stir. Then extinguish the baking soda with vinegar, add to the dough and knead until it stops sticking to your hands.

Peel the apples, core them and cut into thin slices. To do this, you can use one of the sides of the potato peeler.

Grease a baking pan with butter. Roll out the dough and place on the bottom. Arrange the apple slices on top.

In another bowl or saucepan, combine 1 cup sour cream, egg, sugar and 2 tablespoons flour and whisk lightly. Pour the cooked cream over the batter and apples.
