But Oppo with its flagship Find X was able to fit a large bezel-less screen and a front-facing camera on one side of the case.
The presentation of the gadget will take place today in Paris, but for now the journalists from The Verge managed to get the novelty before the announcement. Find X has a large 6, 4-inch OLED screen (1920 × 1080 pixels), which can still be used with one hand due to the lack of thick bezels. In general, the screen occupies 92.25% of the entire front panel. The device is very similar to the Galaxy S9 thanks to the rounded edges of the display panel.
The most interesting feature of the device is the retractable camera, which in the usual position is hidden inside the body. The mechanism is automatically triggered when the user opens the camera application, which is quite convenient. The response time of the mechanism is 0.5 seconds.
The front camera itself is very high quality, it uses a 25-megapixel sensor. A 3D scanning system of the owner's face is provided for unlocking. On the back of the same mechanism, there is a dual camera (16 + 20 Mp).
Unfortunately, the Oppo Find X has no room for a fingerprint scanner - neither on the body nor in the screen. Instead, it is suggested to use a face scan.
Other technical characteristics of the gadget include an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 8 GB of "RAM", 256 GB of storage and a battery with a capacity of 3 730 mAh + support for VOOC fast charging. The operating system is Android 8.1 Oreo and Oppo's proprietary shell - Color OS.
