In the comments to the previous articles in this series (IbisReader, CodexCloud), readers recalled this wonderful service several times. Let's see what merits have made this service so popular among book lovers.

is an online library that provides a range of options for convenient storage and reading of books. As in any decent library, first of all, you need to get a subscription, that is, go through the registration process. After that, you will have access to more from the library fund, mainly classical literature. In addition, you can upload your books in fb2 and ePub formats, which will be saved in your personal library.

The books in your library are presented in the form of cute volumes with the display of the title and author, and when possible, the cover image. Recently added books are displayed in the In Progress section, in the process of reading - Read, and already completed are moved to the Read section. In addition, you can create your own lists (shelves) and distribute your books on them as you like.

Any book from your library can be opened in the built-in reader. Its appearance is optimized for the most comfortable reading from the screen of your device, but if you have special requirements, then you can easily customize the font to your taste.

But the strongest point of Bookmate is the availability of clients for different mobile platforms (Android, iPhone, iPad, Symbian) and the ability to synchronize data between them. Thus, you can start reading on a desktop using a browser, and continue from a mobile phone or tablet, and exactly where you left off. At the same time, the book can be fully downloaded to your device, so you can continue reading without a network connection.

Like any modern web application, Bookmate also has a social component. So, you can share what you read on Twitter, Facebook or Vkontakte, get recommendations, add other users as friends, see their reading list and take books from their shelves.

The online service is by far the most advanced library, providing even with a free usage model a full set of functions for easy collection and reading of books. However, we will try to look for a worthy alternative in the following articles.
