As strange as the title sounds, this is a real problem. That is, not that it is quite huge, but an incorrectly selected sports top bra adds a hassle if the breast volume goes further than A and B. It is only in commercials that girls of model appearance with large breasts gracefully run along the beach, attracting the views of others. In fact, it can be very painful. Therefore, we decided to touch on this slightly personal topic.

Runner's World magazine has prepared tips for choosing the right sports bodice, and also talked about what problems can arise and how to deal with them, and we share this with you. We hope that this information will be useful to many beautiful girls with any breast size.

This “painful” thing can negatively affect running results. So says sports physiotherapist Deirdre Maki of the University of Wollongong, Australia. There are usually three main problems that large-bust runners complain about, and Deirdre offers tips to help deal with them.

Problem # 1. Back pain

Size D breasts can weigh between 6 and 10 kg - more than enough to pull forward and downward. That is, such a chest in the literal sense of the word will pull you down, which can lead to incorrect posture in principle and a hunched back directly while running. This, in turn, reduces running efficiency and can lead to injury.

The only thing that usually supports large breasts while running, unless a girl bothers too much with special sportswear, is a bra, which itself weighs quite a lot. The second inconvenience: thin straps cut into the shoulders under the weight. Thus, they not only leave depressive stripes on the body, but also squeeze the blood vessels and nerve plexuses of the shoulder joints, which can cause numbness in the little fingers.

Since you can only change the size of your breasts with the help of surgery, the only way to cope with the problem without this is to choose the right clothes and, of course, pay special attention to exercises to strengthen your back.

Physiologist Janet Hamilton of Running Strong, Atlanta, thinks so. Exercises for the upper and lower back, as well as general core strengthening to help stabilize the spine, are great ways to improve posture as well as posture. Victoria Barnaby, an athlete at the Greater Boston Track Club and part-time trainer at the CoachUp running club, recommends functional training that targets multiple muscle groups. For example: a bar on the forearms with alternating leg lifts or a bar with an emphasis on a stability ball, "superman" (raising arms and legs while lying on the back, do not lift our head up and look at the floor), side bar and side crunches.

Problem number 2. Factor of elasticity

The firmness of the breast directly depends on its size and skin elasticity. With age, this elasticity is lost and, accordingly, this factor of elasticity is lost when she bounces like a ball.

In terms of amplitude, McGee took measurements while running on a treadmill, and as a result, it turned out that for a chest with a size of 38D, the range is 12.7 cm (from top to bottom). The amplitude of a small chest is only 7.6 cm, but even this can cause discomfort.

Therefore, finding the right sports bra is very important. It helps to minimize this amplitude and make it all happen in unison with the movement of the torso, and not you separately, the chest separately.

Problem # 3. Friction

Choosing the right sports bra is the first step to preventing chafing. This is especially true for hot weather. The less it moves around your body as you move, the less it will rub and irritate your skin.

An additional way to help you hold out until you find your perfect sports top is to use special gels and ointments (Vazilin does a great job with this), which prevent chafing and are applied to sensitive areas such as, for example, armpits.

If the chafing does not disappear, you can try applying a medical plaster to these places. Unfortunately, it can also chafe, so it is better to carry out such experiments during short distances.

How to Match the Perfect Sports Bra

The very first tip: if you are buying your first sports top in your life, never do it online without first trying it on in an ordinary sports store!

Look for top bras with high-support features such as molded cups, internal padded waistbands and straps, and multi-hook fasteners. In this case, comfort should be above all, and if it is beautiful, but you feel discomfort, then it is better not to take it.

So what should you look for when shopping for sports bras?

Belt. It should be wide and made of elastic material that allows you to support your chest without bulging on your back or bulging when you raise your arms. You need to fasten it on the very first hook from the edge, as over time the belt will stretch and you must be sure that you have a stock and it will sit tight enough on the penultimate or last hook. If you focus on the very last one from the edge, then when stretching, there will be nowhere to retreat and you will have to buy a new one.

Straps. They should be wide and made of dense material. These straps will not cut into your shoulders.

Cups. In order to restrict movement and reduce the amplitude of vibration, they must completely cover the chest (no folds or empty space inside!). When choosing, keep in mind that the cup size of a sports bra may be different from your regular underwear size.

Bones. They should sit on your ribs and not cut into the soft tissues of your breasts and armpits.

Front part. The front of the bra should sit on your brisket exactly between your breasts.

If you are going to be running long distances often, you might be better off looking for a dedicated top with double support. Alternatively, you can wear a high-support bra with a compression bodice on top. But at the same time, it is worth finding your golden mean between the constantly jumping chest and the feeling of a very tight corset, in which it is hard to breathe.

One final tip: choose several different models and use them one at a time. In a few weeks, you will understand which of the top bras suits you perfectly, and if they are both, then you are double the winner. After determining the favorite, write down its model and feel free to buy in online stores.
