"VKontakte" allows you to hide selected people from the list of friends, without showing them in the "Friends" section for other users. After such manipulation, a certain person is not displayed in the list, and no one will know that you are friends with him.
Previously, there were special services like 220vk.com and vk.city4me.com, which, using their own algorithms, could determine the presence of hidden friends of a given VKontakte profile, show their number and names. At the time of this writing, none of them work. There are no other existing analogues for December 2020 either.
And yet there is one way to find out if a person is hiding friends. It is not perfect and will only be able to indicate the presence of hidden friends, without displaying their names. The point is to add up the number of men and women on the list and subtract it from the total number of friends shown on the page.
To do this, look at and remember how many friends a person has in total.
Set the filter for the female sex and remember the number.
Now change the filter to male and fix the number.
It remains only to count. In our example, there were only 360 friends, of which 172 were girls and 160 were guys. 360 - (172 + 160) = 28. It turns out that the user has 28 hidden friends. However, you cannot fully rely on these numbers. The list can contain frozen or blocked profiles, in which the floor is not displayed - they can introduce an error in the calculations.
