Suddenly everything became smart. But this is perhaps the most brutal of the list of wearable devices.

The list of "wiser" devices is growing by leaps and bounds. Smart sneakers have already been announced, plugs that can be switched off using a smartphone, automated water filters and a host of other devices - common and unique, useful and completely useless.

The Garmin company, known to all thanks to fitness trackers and auto accessories, has offered a device that is more associated with vivisection and is perfect for people with mild sadistic inclinations. And this for all its quite natural benefits.

Despite its name, the Garmin Sport Pro is not designed for sports. And even more so not for a person. The device is a smart collar with a remote control and is designed for training four-legged friends.

Conductive rods are built into the collar, which allow you to "transmit a stimulating effect to the dog" - one-time or permanent. In addition, the Sport Pro can generate vibration and tone commands.

Garmin Sport Pro is controlled by a remote control. According to the manufacturer, it is designed in such a way that it allows you to "fully concentrate on training" and not be distracted by looking for the right button.

The remote control and the collar itself are protected from water and mechanical influences according to the IPX672 standard, and the contact pins are made of stainless steel. The collar is offered in two versions, differing in the length of the current transmitters - for dogs with short and long hair. The efficiency of the device is ensured by the accumulators built into both components, thanks to which it can function for up to 60 hours. Remote control weight - 125 g, collar - 98 g.

Garmin's brutal yet clever pet training device is priced at $ 250. So it will be useful, rather, to people who are professionally involved in dog training.

Would you allow training your own four-legged friend using such a device?
