How to install third-party themes for the Slack messenger

Everyone's been talking about Slack lately. This messenger is used by both large companies and small teams and studios. Below we will describe how to install third-party skins for Windows and Mac applications, as well as the web version of the service.

Just a year after launch, Slack has secured support from hundreds of thousands of users. Many publications call the service the killer of corporate mail and Skype. And it would have been worth killing the latter for a long time. It only gets worse from version to version of Skype. Slack is used by Adobe, Airbnb, Buzzfeed, and other well-known companies. There is a choice of themes in the application settings. There are few standard ones - about 10 pieces. But we found a site where third-party developers create themes on their own, choosing a color scheme. In order to install a third-party theme, you need to do the following:

1. Go to the site and choose the theme you like.

   

2. Completely copy the line with the values below.
3. Go to settings (both app and web version) and select the Sidebar theme tab.

4. Click on the phrase below and paste the copied code into the line that appears.

   

The great thing is that themes work both in the web version and in Mac and Windows apps. All themes are free, and their list is constantly growing, as third-party users can create themes.
