A5 is the complete opposite of overloaded Word or Pages. The only focus here is your text. No editing, no markup - nothing. Surprisingly, this is captivating.

I have always associated Word with this picture:

Word in all its beauty
Word in all its beauty

What I disliked (and disliked) most of all about it was the sheer number of features. And somewhere in my heart I understand that there are people who need all this, but I cannot force myself to use it. Therefore, all I need to write texts is a simple iA Writer, which does not have a single control panel.

But recently I came across an interesting text editor TypWrittr, which surprised me with an abundance of functions and simplicity. It came as a surprise to me that text editors in the browser have become so competitive. I even tried to use it, but I was embarrassed by the need to constantly be on the Internet, and I already got used to iA Writer.

Many people use browser editors and have long been accustomed to them. Take Google Docs, which can already replace Word, and will soon surpass it in convenience. Therefore, here is another browser-based text editor - A5. And it is suitable only for those who value simplicity above all else.

There is nothing in the A5. Nothing at all except a blank sheet of paper on which you will write. But there is only one trick, without which, perhaps, we would not have written about this editor. All the text you type is saved even after you exit the browser. I checked that this is indeed the case.

The A5 can be used to jot down spontaneous thoughts, short notes, and finally even articles. After all, the text can then be copied and easily pasted into a blog or any other place.

Surprisingly, despite the complete lack of functions, the A5 somehow captivates. Either by its simplicity, or by an outright mockery of overloaded Word and Pages. But it is pleasant to write in it, and you quickly get used to minimalism and simplicity.
