Trouble with Harry (1954)

One autumn day, Harry's corpse was found in the forest. The already not very pleasant find is overshadowed by the fact that the inhabitants of the nearby village assume that they are to blame for his death. Therefore, Harry will have to be buried several times and dug up again.

This comedy was shot by the master of thrillers Alfred Hitchcock, which greatly surprised the critics. But the audience liked Hitchcock's black humor. The film was a success at the box office. And today, half a century later, this vivid picture, thought out to the smallest detail, looks in one breath and with a smile on our lips.

Another Year (2010)

A soulful story about middle-aged but happy spouses Tom and Jerry and people close to them. Mary's friend is trying to find a man and put things in order in the household. The son of the main characters is also in search of happiness, and Tom's brother is coping with the loss of his wife.

Tom and Jerry realize that their life has reached the autumn season, when it is worth thinking about death and the value of what has been lived. A wise approach helps to realize that winter will come after autumn, and after winter there will be spring and summer again.

The film is clear and philosophical at the same time. Director Mike Lee managed to convey the versatility of life. The film was received calmly by critics, but definitely positively.

Come Tomorrow (1962)

Frosya came from a Siberian village to go to college to become a singer. Only now the exams are over. But does this prevent a simple village girl, not burdened with complexes, but gifted with a strong voice, from fulfilling her dream?

This film is partly autobiographical - the leading actress Yekaterina Savinova participated in writing the script. She also sang the songs in the picture herself. Under the direction of director Evgeny Tashkov, she managed to play Frosya comically and touchingly.

The number three is definitely a good one for Xavier Dolan. Like the three heroes, the picture, sound and dialogue under his leadership form a tight love triangle. The result is something incredibly beautiful. In Cannes, the work of this talented Canadian director is invariably received with enthusiasm.

Autumn in New York (2000)

This picture inevitably comes to mind when choosing fall films. And not only because of the name. The image of a park strewn with yellow leaves is so mesmerizing that it's hard not to fall in love with Joana Chen's autumn.

And although the heroine of Winona Ryder is terminally ill, she is as charming as wilting nature at this time of year. And the romance and charm of the characters absorbs all the negative aspects of this story.
