Both hopeless romantics and lovers of scary stories will find something interesting here for themselves.

1. Innocent

16-year-old lovers Harry and June escape from the supervision of their parents. Suddenly, strange things begin to happen to the characters, after which June discovers the ability to transform into other people. Perhaps a certain Professor Halvorson will help her to control supernatural forces.

The showrunner of the series was Farren Blackburn, who directed several episodes of "Daredevil" and "Defenders", and one of the roles was played by the famous actor Guy Pearce. And although the plot did not come out very original and resembles several other Netflix projects at once, "Innocents" may well be liked by viewers who are ready to close their eyes to the secondary nature of ideas.

2. The Secret Order

To avenge his mother's death, freshman Jack Morton enters a secret society that engages him in a dangerous game. Gradually, the hero finds himself in the center of the enmity between werewolves and dark magicians.

This Netflix project will not feature particularly impressive filming, but the usual difficulties of a teenager's life (first love, relationships with friends) are presented in an interesting setting of secret societies and classic fantasy.

3. Bitten

The world's only female werewolf, Elena Michaels, tries to live a normal human life. But one day something happens, because of which she has to return to the pack, leaving the groom - an ordinary guy.

The series is definitely worth watching for fans of mystical love stories and beautifully staged bed scenes. For the rest, the plot may seem too trivial, and the play of the actors is not very expressive.

4. Hemlock Grove

In the town of Hemlock Grove, one of the local girls dies, and this event in a strange way coincides with the arrival of the young Peter Rumanchik, whom evil tongues call a werewolf. Rumors draw the attention of the newcomer to Roman Godfrey, heir to the richest family in the city. The guys become friends and together try to uncover the secret of the killer's identity, especially since he is clearly not going to dwell on one victim.

For Bill Skarsgård, the role of Roman Godfrey became a ticket to a big movie: a few years later, the actor starred in the acclaimed horror film It and the TV series Castle Rock. But besides him, you can see such good artists as Famke Janssen, Dougray Scott and Lily Taylor.

5. Be human

A notorious werewolf and a depressed vampire decide to rent a house for themselves, but they do not suspect that they will meet another neighbor there. It turns out to be a cynical ghost of a girl.

The series was first filmed in the UK with screenwriter Toby Whitehouse (Torchwood, Doctor Who). But a little later, the Americans also released their version of the story of the uneasy coexistence of a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost. In it, minor production mistakes of the original were corrected, and the project was made more spectacular.

6. Werewolf

A sixteen-year-old teenager Scott McCall is once bitten by a mysterious beast, after which the hero realizes that he has become a werewolf. Now he must learn to control himself in order to protect his loved ones.

This series will be watched by many with pleasure, if only for the sake of cute actors in the lead roles. The creators borrowed the plot from the old comedy "Teen Wolf", but further events developed differently than in the film.

7. Of the kind of wolves

This British fantasy series will be of interest mainly to a very young audience. In the story, a young girl Maddy lives in a family of half-wolves and carefully hides her nature from others. Once at the school where the heroine is studying, a newcomer appears, in whose veins wolf blood also flows. After a while, an unusual relationship is struck between teenagers.

8. Call of the blood

An ordinary girl, Bo, learns that she is a native succubus, feeding on the energy of people. At the same time, the heroine refuses to take the side of dark or light forces and simply lives on her own, moonlighting as a private detective. She is assisted by Russian thief Kenzie, werewolf detective Dyson and researcher Lauren Lewis.

In the series, in addition to the fantastic creatures familiar to everyone, very non-trivial folklore characters appear. Among them, for example, leprechauns, the Japanese water kappa and the Irish evil spirit Dullahan.

9. Grimm

Detective Nick Burkhardt learns that he is from an old family of fighters against evil spirits. Now the hero has to lead a double life in order to continue the work of his ancestors and to protect all who are in danger. Nick's companion is the re-educated werewolf Eddie Monroe, whom you can always turn to for help and advice.

The series is partially based on the plots of the Brothers Grimm, except that your favorite fairy-tale characters will appear here in somewhat unusual ways. Some are capable, for example, of easily killing a person or setting up a whole terrorist attack.

10. Scary tales

Traveler Malcolm Murray assembles a team to rescue daughter Mina, kidnapped by vampires. Clairvoyant Vanessa Ives, shooter Ethan Chandler and medical genius Victor Frankenstein come to the rescue.

The series is filmed in the genre of gothic horror, so various monsters, spirits, evil witches, demons and other folklore evil spirits regularly appear in it. One of the main characters turns out to be a werewolf: on a full moon, the hero can turn into a wolf-man with sharp claws and fangs.

11. The ancients

The Ancients grew out of the teenage drama The Vampire Diaries. As in the original series, here they talk about werewolves and vampires at once, and a significant part of the timing is taken up by the analysis of the complex family relationships of the characters.

In turn, "The Ancients" launched their own spin-off "Legacy" about a school for children of vampires, werewolves and witches, designed for a very young audience.

12. Supernatural

Brothers Sam and Dean Winchesters travel across America in search of their missing father John, who disappeared without a trace during another hunt. Along the way, they fight with evil spirits and try to solve the mystery of their mother's death.

The series offers viewers a rather complex mythology: for example, in the world of Supernatural, werewolves, shape-shifters and werewolves are not the same thing, and a real werewolf can only be born. In addition, there are two types of these creatures: regular and purebred. The latter are distinguished by a set of unique qualities and abilities.
