From partitions in cafes to thermal imagers in shopping centers.
The coronavirus pandemic has dramatically changed our world - many previously unfamiliar precautions have now become the norm. And they may well persist even after the complete victory over COVID-19. This applies to issues of disinfection, social distance, protective masks and other important aspects of our safety. Here are 12 examples of how the world has already begun to adapt to the new reality.
1. In one of the gyms in Hong Kong, glass partitions were installed to separate cardiovascular equipment. Such barriers are designed to reduce the risk of spreading viral infections transmitted by airborne droplets.
3. The local McDonald's now has a thermal imager at the entrance, which checks the temperature of all visitors.
4. A restaurant in Shanghai sprays incoming guests with a disinfectant solution.
5. And this is how Starbucks in Taipei looks now - at least some kind of protection from direct contact.
6. In some establishments, dishes are disinfected right in front of guests.
7. And in a restaurant in Beijing, a robot delivers take-out orders to the door.
8. In a number of Chinese schools, students are now treated inside and out when entering a classroom.
9. In malls in Asia, escalators have begun to be supplemented with UV sterilizers that kill germs and viruses on handrails.
10. And a robot appeared in the Bangkok shopping center, measuring the temperature of all people passing by. So you can quickly identify the patient.
11. In many restaurants, guests have begun to give out paper bags in which you can remove the mask during meals.
12. A supermarket in Denmark has installed a mobile hand-washing station at the entrance - you can use it before and after shopping.
