It is not easy to unsubscribe from some mailings. It is not always enough just to click on the "Unsubscribe" button at the bottom of the letter. Sometimes you need to confirm something else, answer questions or tell why you wanted to unsubscribe. This was done so that you could not stand up to the end of the operation and scored on your decision to unsubscribe from the mailing list.

Some time ago we talked about the Unroll.me service. With its help, you can easily unsubscribe from all unnecessary mailings. But if you do not want to give access to your mail to third-party services, then try the simple method, which we will discuss below.

We only need access to Google Drive, where we will copy a special script. It will add an additional "Unsubscribe" shortcut to the shortcut bar, assigning which you can forget about annoying mailings forever.

Here's what to do:

  1. Copy the script to your Google Drive.
  2. Click on the button at the top of the screen and select Authorize.

    Run script

  3. Then, from the same menu, select the Start button and give the shortcut a name. For example, "Unsubscribe" or Unsuscribe.

    Name the shortcut
    Name the shortcut

Now a new shortcut will appear in the list of shortcuts with the name you specified. By clicking on it, you will automatically unsubscribe from the mailing list within 10-15 minutes. All statistics will be collected in the file with which we worked above.

This method is a completely open source script. All information will be stored on your Google Drive and will not be shared with third parties.
